Ishani Throw

Hand woven from hand spun eri silk and marino wool at Avani - a fair trade weavers cooperative in India. Naturally dyed with Indigo. It is a medium weight throw and can be used in all seasons. Beautiful soft handle. 165cm by 165cm. Can be used as a thorw or a shawl.

This piece is part of a collaboration collection designed by KULU, woven exclusively as limited editions. Naturally dyed with organic Indigo grown at Avani. Each scarf ensures the livelihood of women in a remote part of the Indian Himalayas. Avani have recently won a government award in recognition of their work towards female empowerment. The project provide maternity, sick pay and a fair wage to their employees, preserving traditional craft skills and providing accommodation and schooling for the families of workers.
